Bosna Bank International (BBI) has announced the 12th Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF) for May 17th and 18th 2023, in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A meeting place for leading institutional and private business people from all over the world with businessmen and project owners from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia and Albania.
The twelfth SBF in a row, a prestigious and recognizable platform for business networking and researching investment and business opportunities in the countries of Southeast Europe, is organized aiming to boost economic development of all countries in the region. The event offers to all its participants two days of cross-border experience of interesting panels, discussions, and business networking. With the presence of more than 1,500 domestic, regional and world representatives of governments, ministries, investors, and representatives of business communities coming from around 50 countries around the world, presentations of over 200 investment projects and business opportunities, more than 400 G2G organizations are expected at the 12th SBF /G2B/B2B meetings with the presence of over 200 media representatives from BiH, countries of the region and the world.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is celebrating Statehood Day on 25th November, remembering 25th November 1943 on which the Anti-Fascist People’s Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ZAVNOBiH) adopted a resolution declaring Bosnia and Herzegovina an equal state within Former Republic of Yugoslavia.

November 25 is one of the most significant dates in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the day when the country reinstated its statehood, confirming a centuries long continuity of independent state with its full sovereignty and territorial integrity.

After dissolution of Yugoslavia Bosnia and Herzegovina declared independence upon referendum held on March 1st 1992. under the official name Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. With this name Bosnia and Herzegovina became member of UN on May 22, 1992.

Dayton Peace Agreement had reconfirmed statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its continuity in very Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina is part of Dayton Peace Accord documents that came into force on November 21st , 1995. On this day four years long war for independence ended officially. It was bloodiest war on European soil after WWII. More over, this war was marked by genocide in Srebrenica in the first two weeks of July 1995.

In accordance with Article 1. of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the official name of which shall henceforth be "Bosnia and Herzegovina," shall continue its legal existence under international law as a state, with its internal structure modified as provided in Constitution and with its present internationally recognized borders. The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted Decision dated 6th July 2017, confirming the 25 November as public holiday, Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Council of Ministers of BiH passed a Decision on prescribing additional conditions for the entry of foreigners into Bosnia and Herzegovina, which opens the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina to all foreigners, provided that they have a negative test for coronavirus, not older than 48 hours.

It is specified by the Decision that foreigners who meet the conditions for entry into Bosnia and Herzegovina, prescribed by the Law on Foreigners, may enter Bosnia and Herzegovina upon presentation of a negative PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is not older than 48 hours until the moment of entry into Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Entry into BiH without presenting a negative test for the SARS-COV-2 virus is allowed to:
1. Citizens of Montenegro, the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Croatia when they enter Bosnia and Herzegovina directly from the state of which they are citizens, as well as their minor children and spouses, who are citizens of other countries;
2. Aircraft and cabin crew, whose final destination is Bosnia and Herzegovina;
3. and co-drivers of trucks when performing international transport of goods by road, provided that their stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina does not last longer than 12 hours;
4. Crews of freight trains and ships in international traffic;
5. Diplomatic and consular staff accredited in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, upon entering BiH, except for the diplomatic card of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (types "D", "MO", "K", "S", "PO", "PK", "PP"), shall hold and present a valid passport;
6. Civil protection services and teams when their entry into BiH is urgent and cannot be postponed;
7. Members of the military forces of the members of the North Atlantic Treaty and other countries participating in the Partnership for Peace and members of the NATO and EUFOR Headquarters in BiH;
8. Heads of states and governments, and members of their delegations, whose arrival and departure from Bosnia and Herzegovina was announced to Border Police of BiH through diplomatic channels or through protocols of the competent authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
9. Foreigners transiting through the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the purpose of returning to the country of usual residence, without staying in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

All these foreigners are obliged to comply with and follow the instructions and orders of the competent authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, epidemiological and health services.


This decision shall be applied at border crossing points from Saturday, 12 September 2020 at 6:00 a.m.
